IF you thought festival season was over – think again.

Teesside has a number of big events coming up with our towns playing host to a huge line-up of music this month.

After McFly opened the revamped Globe in Stockton on Monday, there are more big name live gigs you won’t want to miss and the live music season continues at Scarboroug­h Open Air Theatre with the likes of Duran Duran still to come.

Here’s what you need to know if you are keen on finding a music fix:

BLAM BLAM FEVER 3

Redcar Ska Weekend , Friday and Saturday September 10 and 11

Bad Manners are headlining and there’s a massive line-up of acts all set for the festival which takes place at various venues in the Northern Quarter of Redcar including Gypsy Rover, O’Gradys Hotel, The Halt, The Standard and more – the main events are at The Coatham Hall.

As well as Buster Bloodvesse­l and his crew, you can also see The Members who charted with Sound of The

Suburbs and Roddy Radiation from The Specials will be performing a solo set.

The festival is in aid of Redcar RNLI. Organisers are already reporting a sell out.

ALEXANDRA BURKE

Princess Alexandra Auditorium, Yarm, Sunday, September 19

The X-Factor winner, currently touring as one of the leads in The Bodyguard Musical, will bring her solo show to Yarm, performing a set of some of her classic hits alongside some of her new material.

GATHERING SOUNDS

Stockton, Saturday September 25

The all-day festival aims to showcase emerging musical talent across several stages at Arc, Ku and The Georgian Theatre, as well as other smaller venues.

Bands already announced include Red Rum Club, The Mysterines, Sophie and the Giants, Du Blonde, Andrew Cushin, Weird Milk, The Clause and more.

The promoters behind the festival have also previously brought acts including Arctic Monkeys, The Enemy, The 1975 and Reverend and the Makers to the region. Tickets are £19

advance.

THE DRIFTERS

Forum Theatre, Billingham, September 26

The Drifters are back on tour with a brand-new show performing all their classic hits from the last six decades.

The legendary group have been inducted into the Rock & Roll of Fame, performed for the President of the United States and listed among the Greatest Artists of All Time by Rolling Stone magazine.

WARREN ELLIS AND NICK CAVE

The Globe, Stockton, Wednesday September 29

In their first ever tour as a duo, Cave and Ellis will stop in at The Globe as part of a nationwide tour following the release of their acclaimed album Carnage.
