YEOVIL CELEBRATE ‘MAGICAL’ DRAW

- By John Lyons

LEAGUE Two sides through to the FA Cup fourth round have some tasty ties to look forward to – especially Yeovil Town and Newport County.

Yeovil – the lowest ranked team left in the competition – have been rewarded with a tie against Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United after seeing off Bradford City last weekend.

It’s the second time in three years the Glovers have been drawn at home against United. They lost 2-0 to the Red Devils in the third round back in 2015.

“I want everyone to enjoy it and embrace the fantastic challenge,” said delighted Yeovil boss Darren Way. “It’s going to be a magical day.”

Newport are looking forward to welcoming Tottenham to Rodney Parade after shocking Leeds last Sunday.

Notts County will entertain either Premier League strugglers Swansea or Championship pacesetters Wolves after winning at Brentford.

Coventry’s reward for knocking out top-flight Stoke is a visit to League One side MK Dons.

Steve Evans’ Mansfield have a massive incentive to beat Cardiff in their replay on Tuesday – a home tie against Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City awaits the victors.

The winners of the replay between Sheffield Wednesday and Carlisle will host either Reading or Stevenage.

Incentive

Hull welcome Nottingham Forest and Sheffield United face Preston in two all-Championship ties. Birmingham go to Huddersfield, while Middlesbrough host Brighton.

Millwall will fancy their chances at home against League One strugglers Rochdale. Wigan or Bournemouth will host either West Ham or Shrewsbury.

If Norwich can pull off a shock at Chelsea in their replay on Wednesday, they will host Newcastle, while Fleetwood would have an all-League One game at Peterborough if they can stun Jamie Vardy’s Leicester in Tuesday night’s replay.

The latter two replays have been chosen for live coverage, earning the clubs £72,000 each. Chelsea v Norwich is on BBC One and Leicester v Fleetwood is on BT Sport 2, both 7.45pm.

The Video Assistant Referee (VAR) will be used in both.

Liverpool host West Brom and Southampton face Watford in two all-Premier League ties.

The fourth round takes place on the weekend of January 26-29.
