The Barbadian’s stubborn batting at the top of the order has been a regular thorn in England’s side.

Carlos Brathwaite Limited-over specialist whose destructio­n of Ben Stokes’s final over won West Indies the T20 World Cup in 2016.

Three legends…

Sir Wes Hall

One of West Indies’ all-time great quick bowlers, Hall took 192 wickets in 48 Tests between 1958-69. He was president of the West Indies board in 2001-03.

Sir Frank Worrell

Part of the famous “Three Ws” with Clyde Walcott and Everton Weekes, Worrell averaged just under 50 in Tests and took 69 wickets. Sir Clyde Walcott

His Test average of 56.68 is the fourth best for West Indians in Tests. He scored 15 hundreds in just 44 Tests.

Two England internatio­nals…

Chris Jordan

Born on Barbados, the bowler qualified for England through his grandparen­ts. He left the island to attend Dulwich College aged 16.

Gladstone Small

The bowler grew up in Barbados before moving to England at 14, going on to make 17 Test and 53 one-day appearance­s.
