IT MAY not have created quite the buzz of the London Olympics, but the Commonwealth Games will be a fine spectacle and great news for Scotland.

Yesterday a special 50p coin was struck to commemorate the extravaganza.

It will enter circulation soon — and then act as a fitting tribute for years to come.
