Dunfermlin­e Historical Society’s next meeting will take place on Thursday March 21 at 7.30pm in the Abbey Church Hall, Abbey Park Place, Dunfermlin­e. The speaker is Robin Sharp, talking on “The George Lauder Legacy”.

Doors open from 7pm. The cost is £3 per person.

The Angus Members’ Centre of the National Trust for Scotland is holding a coffee morning on Saturday in the Glens and Kirriemuir United Parish Church Hall from 10am-12pm.

Heartstart Discovery is offering members of the public two-hour training sessions in emergency life support this month. Courses are free and no medical knowledge is required. Sessions will be held in Dundee on March 12 from 10.30am-12.30pm, Montrose on March 18 from 2pm-4pm, Perth on March 23 from 10.30am-12.30pm and Dundee on March 26 from 6.30pm-8.30pm.
