Take a walk through the beautiful Newark show home at The Grange development in Laurencekirk.
Take a look inside one of Courier Country’s hottest new home developments, designed with family living in mind
New for Beatuiful Homes in 2018, our show home showcase will take you on a tour of some of Courier Country’s most prestigious new home developments.
For February, our spotlight is on the Newark show home at Muir Homes’ Laurencekirk development, The Grange.
Just 45 minutes by train from Dundee, and even closer to Aberdeen, The Grange offers countryside living on the edge of a small town with all the advantages of easy access and commutes to nearby cities.
The Newark is a superb four-bedroom detached home with integrated garage, designed with family living in mind.
Downstairs, there is a flexible open-plan lounge and dining area that overlooks the back garden, while the separate breakfasting kitchen is positioned to the front of the home. The ground floor also offers a handy WC and storage cupboard.
Heading upstairs, welcoming features include an en-suite master bedroom with two built-in wardrobes and three additional bedrooms – two of which also have built-in wardrobes – and a modern family bathroom.
The show home interior, designed by Blocc Interiors, uses a palette of soft greys and silvers, with blues and teals used as accent colours in the lounge and master bedroom.
To demonstrate the Newark’s credentials as a family home, two of the bedrooms are designed for children, one using a skateboarding theme with a striking combination of yellows and greys, and another featuring unicorns and soft pinks.
According to Dawn Kitchener, managing director of Blocc Interiors: “Designed to appeal to modern families, we kept the show home fresh and to the point.
“We focused on living space and colour, from the corner sofa in the lounge that adds practical luxury to the room, to the artwork that features throughout the house.”
Mary Shoebridge, sales manager at Muir Homes is keen for potential buyers to come and visit the development for themselves.
“Laurencekirk is a perfect location for families, with excellent schooling and plenty of shops, cafes, restaurants, and parks,” she says.
“It offers easy access to the countryside as well as being within a short journey by road or rail from both Aberdeen and Dundee.
“The Grange has a wide range of house styles to suit a variety of budgets, so our Newark show home will help us demonstrate to potential buyers that no matter what home they choose here, they can expect high quality and superb attention to detail.”
All homes at The Grange come with stylish kitchens and contemporary bathrooms, turfed front gardens and block-paved driveways.
Muir Homes’ Assisted Move scheme is also available at Laurencekirk to help make moving easier.
Prices for currently available homes at The Grange start from £235,000 for a three-bedroom detached Cheviot.
Four-bedroom detached homes start from £239,995, and five-bedroom detached homes are priced from £325,000.
