-

Donibristle Primary and Nursery School in Dalgety Bay has received a positive report from inspectors following a review earlier this year.

The Education Scotland inspection took place in September and the report into the visit has highlighted a number of key strengths.

Inspectors said they were particularly impressed with the confidence and enthusiasm of staff in implementing a refreshed approach to the learning and teaching of numeracy and maths.

Staff were also praised for knowing their children and families very well – with the wellbeing of youngsters central to the school’s work. They also noted that senior leaders had established a “positive wholeschool ethos”, where the school’s values were evident in the quality of relationships across the school community.

Head teacher Craig Mitchell said: “We are delighted with this very positive report, which reflects the hard work and dedication of our staff team, who are committed to enriching children’s learning and experiences.

“We are also very pleased that our caring and respectful children are noted as a real strength of our school along with our close links with parents and partners.

“Inspectors made special mention of our nursery team which, under strong leadership, have created an outstanding, rich, learning environment underpinned by a consistently high level of practice.”
