Woman robbed in her own home
A pair of thieves robbed a 62-year-old woman in her own Fife home, police revealed yesterday.
Officers have appealed for information after the robbery in Alexander Street, Dysart, which happened on Tuesday.
The incident took place at around 8.45am.
A man working with another person robbed the woman in her home.
Jewellery and a money box containing a four-figure sum of cash were stolen.
One suspect is described as male, approximately 40 years old, 5ft 10ins tall, and of skinny build.
He had a local accent and was wearing a blue hooded top.
The second suspect was described as being shorter than the first and also skinny.
The person, who may have been male or female, was wearing a cream baseball cap and according to the witness spoke with a “squeaky” voice.
Detective Sergeant Colin Potter from the police in Kirkcaldy is leading the investigation.
He said: “This has been a distressing incident for the resident.
“I would appeal for anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed anything suspicious to contact the police.”
