‘I just want her home safe’: Plea to missing mum
PERTH: Inquiries ongoing to locate Fair City woman last seen on Saturday night
The daughter of a missing Perth woman has made an emotional plea for her safe return home.
Inquiries are ongoing to find Maryanne Dick, who was last seen in Pullar Terrace, Perth at around 10pm on Saturday night.
The 46-year old’s family have taken to social media to ask the public to “keep a look out” for her.
Her daughter, Emma, used Twitter to pen an appeal for information.
She wrote: “Can everyone please keep a look out for my mum (Maryanne Dick).
“This is completely out of character and I just want her home safe.
“She was last seen in the Tulloch area of Perth around 10pm on Saturday February 2.
“Please contact the police with any information that you have.”
Emma also told The Courier her mother still has connections to Glasgow from where she originally came.
Taxi drivers have been asked to keep watch for her and a search was organised by friends and family yesterday evening.
About two dozen people helped the search, handing out fliers in pubs, hotels, petrol stations and elsewhere.
In their statement, Police Scotland described Maryanne as being white, around 5ft 2in, and of average build with long, black hair.
When last seen, she was wearing a black jacket, black jeans, a black jumper and a cream coloured scarf.
Sergeant Lesley Mcdonald of the Perth police office said officers would like anyone who has seen Maryann since 10pm on Saturday, or anyone who is aware of her whereabouts, to get in touch with officers.
She also appealed directly to Maryanne to call someone to “let us know that she is safe and well”.
