ARBIRLOT and CARMYLLIE. President Edith Douglas introduced Keris Douglas who demonstrated cake icing. One of the cakes was donated to the raffle and was won by Grace Smith. AUCHTERHOUSE. President Ann Black welcomed members. The Burns supper raised £250 for the Mercy Ships charity. Katie Goldie and Julie Geyer showed how to make corsages from tartan ribbon. FARNELL. Members enjoyed a Burns supper of haggis, neeps and tatties. Joe Aitken from Kirriemuir sang bothy ballads. Competitions: Pot plant – 1 Margaret Ross, 2 Morag Ramsay, 3 Sarah Ramsay; cross stitch Easter card – 1 Morag Ramsay, 2 Sarah Ramsay, 3 Margaret Ross.
KILCONQUHAR and COLINSBURGH. Members enjoyed a Burns supper with the food provided by members and the kitchen in the capable hands of Irene Hamilton. Competitions: flower of the month – Francis Winton; piece of Scottish pottery – 1 Marjory Lyon, 2 Jean Forgan. Elizabeth Goodall gave the vote of thanks.
LONGFORGAN. President Muriel Anderson welcomed members and guests. Liz Kay showed slides of her six-week holiday taking in Stirling, the east coast of England, the south coast to Cornwall then Wales and back to Scotland. MEMUS and FERN. President Davina Farquharson welcomed members. Tribute was paid to honorary member Alison Baird, a member for more than three decades, who died in December. Shona Young gave a talk on local company Nutscene, makers of garden twine. NORTHMUIR. President Elma Dickens welcomed members to a musical evening of country, Scottish and Irish songs sung by John Findlay. Gail Cable gave the vote of thanks.
