Broughty Athletic took full advantage of their Section A clash being switched to Whitton Park as they beat Forfar Albion 6-2.

Kevin Milne scored twice for Jamie McCunnie’s Super League side alongside goals from Adam Harwood, Greg McNaughton, Gregor Anderson and Ross McCord. Fraser Sturrock and Kevin Scott were the scorers for the visitors.

Carnoustie Panmure dominated proceeding­s at Ogilvy Park over Arbroath Vics but it was the home side who took the lead on 32 minutes when a Michael Fotheringh­am shot was deflected in by Michael Cruickshan­k.

Just after half-time the home side looked to have made it 2-0 when the ball cam down off the bar, only for the referee toadjudget­heballhadn­otcrossedt­heline.

Carnoustie took advantage and equalised through Pat Martin before Sam Simpson, Martin again, Derek Paterson and Ryan Dignan sealed a comfortabl­e win.

Tayport parted company with manager Charlie King and his assistant Daryn Smith during the week but it got no better for the Fife side as they went down 3-2 at home to Downfield in Section C.

Dayle Robertson put Tayport in the lead on 18 minutes but the home side were reduced to 10 men on 37 minutes when Craig Sturrock brought down Paul Blackwood in the box and was sent off.

Bryan Duell stepped up to slam home the penalty to equalise.

Three minutes later it was 2-1 to the Spiders through Conor McLeod.

Tayportequ­alisedwith­infiveminu­tesof the restart through Robertson before Downfield were reduced to 10 men when Jordan Garden was sent off.

McLeod scored what proved to be the winner with five minutes remaining

Kirrie Thistle scored first but had to score a late equaliser to take a point in an Angus derby against Forfar West End in Section D.

Greg Fairweathe­r put Kirrie in front on the half-hour but Craig Batchelor equalised right on half-time. Batchelor made it 2-1 early in the second period only for Dale Reid to pop up with an 88th-minute equaliser for the hosts.

James Malone marked his return from injury with the winner for East Craigie against Luncarty at Craigie Park.

The Shipbuilde­rs were 2-1 winners thanks to strikes from Conan Howitt and Malone, with Kieron Donald scoring the Luncarty goal.

Lochee United may have had 10 men for more than half of the game against Dundee North End but they were comfortabl­e 3-1 winners over the Premier League North leaders.

Connor Birse contested a decision five minutes before half-time and was shown a red card for his protestati­ons – however, rather than hinder United it galvanised George Shields’ side and Reece Ritchie hit the opener four minutes into the second half and Scott McComiskie made it 2-0 three minutes later.

Ryan Rigden pulled one back for North End on 75 but McComiskie made sure their was no chance of a comeback with a third Lochee goal on 78 minutes.

Dundee Violet put a beleaguere­d Coupar Angus to the sword at Foxhall Park, running out 6-0 winners with three goals either side of half-time.

Gavin Thomson, Sean Tucker and Matty Ramsay, on loan from Forfar West End, put Violet 3-0 up at the interval and Greg Birmingham, Murray Reid and Barry Wilson scored after the break.

A late penalty from Matty Adam snatched a point for Blairgowri­e after Lochee Harp had led twice at Downfield Park. Sam McDonald had put the Pansies in front only for an own goal to level things up.

McDonald scored a second to restore the lead but with Harp looking like they would take the points Adam kept his cool from the spot.

Scone Thistle beat Brechin Vics 7-1 at Farquharso­n Park. Darren Gray (2), Stephen Moon, Andrew McKenzie, Martin Strachan, Ross Mitchell and Sean Whitworth scored for Scone, with Aaron Stephen replying for Vics.
