But, as mesmerising as it has become, the digital world remains in its infancy.
Its real power is yet to be properly harnessed and normalised as the rollercoaster ride of investors in block chain enabled cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin can attest.
In tech speak, Dundee was an early adopter of the digital revolution.
