Goals galore as Mill and Horse end level

BLACKHALL Mill and Chopwell drew 5-5 with Whickham Bay Horse in Division One on a day of high scoring.

Derek Waters (2), Dean Hendry, Kieran Snaith and David Wanless struck for the Mill, Kevin Hay (3), Lewis McKie and Peter Grugan for the Horse.

Also level at 5-5 were West Kyo Earl Grey and Consett Scotch Arms.

Grey’s marksmen were Kai Hewitson (2), Kieron Gohery (2) and Barry Lindoe, on target for the Arms Dan Walker, David Parker, Dean Renwick, Rob McConnell and Sean Wilson.

East Stanley WMC were 4-0 winners against visitors Greenside thanks to counters from Adrian Bailey (2) and Jamie Leathard (2).

Oxhill Central edged past Gateshead Thomas Wilson WMC 3-2 with strikes from Dan Maddison, Gav Clews and Joe Gill, Ricky Fenwick and Thomas Hogan replying.

Whickham Coachman won 3-0 at Consett Top Club, Stephen Hall (2) and Aaron McElvogue on target.

In Division Two, Winlaton Real

Vulcan triumphed 4-1 against Catchgate Community thanks to efforts from Shaun Callaghan, Kieron McPherson, Tom Lickess and Michael Harrison, Brandon McCahill with Catchgate’s goal.

Burnopfiel­d Sun Inn squeezed past Crookhall Beck 3-2, Steven

Dewhurst, Ryan Mason and Alex Britton for Sun Inn and Jack Tinkler and Kyle Routledge for the Beck.

Craghead New Punch Bowl comfortabl­y overcame Handenhold Bird Inn 6-1.

Jamie Armstrong (2), Jake Hall, Jake Avilez, Cameron Foreman and

Ryan Hodgson found the net for the the winners.

Horse and Groom were 6-3 winners against Consett Station WMC courtesy of finishes from Liam Dempsey (3), Andrew Whitfield (2) and Alex Pearson, Keegan Thompson with a brace for the Station.
