“Colin was a very fine actor who brought truth and integrity to the role of Tony, as well as being a good friend and generous colleague” Pat Gallimore pays tribute to her on-airwaves husband Colin Skipp, who played Tony Archer for more than 40 years on The Archers, after he died aged 80.

I don’t think you get the best out of people by asking them hard questions – all I want is to get the stories out” Words of wisdom on reporting from PA’s former political editor Chris Moncrieff, who continued to supply the quotes of the day until very recently despite being retired for more than two decades. Chris has sadly died aged 88 after a short illness.
