THE GRAHAM NORTON SHOW

BBC1, 10.35pm RaRely does a Friday evening pass without an Oscar winner settling in on Graham’s sofa. This time it’s Nicole Kidman, right, who is starring in the new crime thriller Destroyer. She’s already received critical acclaim for her role as a troubled detective in the movie.

Next to her on the couch, and always good for a celebrity anecdote or six, is Stephen Fry. The actor and writer will be keen to talk about his latest book Heroes. It’s his retelling of the fabulous stories from Greek mythology – something for the Christmas stockings?

Bringing some comedy is deadpan stand-up Joe lycett, who is currently touring his own show: I’m about To lose Control and I Think Joe lycett.

as if that wasn’t enough, Graham also welcomes Olympic, Tour de France and world cycling champion Geraint Thomas. and there’s a musical performance of The Greatest Day from Take That, now down to three, but still rocking.

alcohol removed, fridge stocked with healthy fruit and veg, eleanor and James, who haven’t ever had a night away from the kids, head off with a bottle of champagne.

But will they return to peace and harmony or will the brothers run riot?
