GATESHEAD Redheugh 1957 kicked off their latest pitch improvement project during a Newcastle United Foundation holiday coaching camp after the arrival of their state-of-the-art ground maintenance equipment.

The project was made possible thanks to a grant from the Premier League and the FA Facilities Fund, which is delivered by the Football Foundation.

The investment enabled Redheugh to purchase pitch maintenance equipment, including a new tractor and mower system, which will help to improve the quality of the club’s four grass pitches.

This will benefit the club’s 24 teams, ranging from undersevens to seniors. ■■WHICKHAM Fellside Whites defeated Consett Snipers 6-1 in the Apollo Doors Gateshead Youth League’s Under-12 Angels League Cup.
