LISA DUNN, who did so much to keep the pressure on for brother Nick’s release from an Indian jail, is among the inspirational women who have been shortlisted for a Sunshine Fund Glass Slipper award.

The nominees who made the cut have been announced and will attend the glittering award ceremony next February at the Hilton Newcastle Gateshead.

Out of 44 nominees, the finalists have been whittled down to just three women in every category which include: Woman of the Year, Young Achiever and Outstanding Business Leader.

The awards recognise the work of the region’s most outstanding women in the worlds of both business and charity.
