HYou don’t see Daniel Craig smiling very often... and I think this picture might reveal why. The 007 star has become a heart-throb around the world with his smouldering expressions and steely demeanour – but let it slip at a Q&A session in New York this week in a rare moment of mirth and rather lost his air of mystery as he did it. The peroxide blond hair and eyebrows, for upcoming film Lucky Logan, didn’t really help him either. As host of The One Show, Matt Baker is used to meeting big-name celebs – but he clearly struggled to contain his excitement when Mel C came on the show this week.

After the Spice Girls singer appeared on the sofa with him and co-star Alex Jones, Matt wouldn’t let her leave before nabbing an autograph.

Onlookers say the presenter look flustered as he fumbled for a pen.

Hopefully they don’t invite on any guests even more famous – the poor bloke might faint. is comeback single Party Like A Russian may have struggled to dent the charts – peaking at number 68 this week – but Robbie Williams is taking no chances with his upcoming shows. I’m told the pop superstar, who would have won medals for partying in his heyday, has slapped a booze ban on his band ahead of their gigs to promote his new album, The Heavy Entertainment Show. The singer has been teetotal for years, but has no problem with his bandmates hitting the bottle off stage – but not before or during gigs.

An insider tells me: “Rob has been off the booze for years now, and he doesn’t mind others drinking – but if it affects his work that’s a different matter.

“On the last tour some gigs didn’t go as well as they should have. Rob wants everyone to focus when he goes out to promote his new album and that means everyone on stage having a clear head.

“The band are free to do whatever they wish after the shows when they’re off the clock, but before they The Rolling Stones have set aside a 50-year bitter rivalry by singing a Beatles song. For the first time, Mick Jagger performed one of the Fab Four’s tunes – fittingly, 1969’s Come Together – at the Desert Trip festival in Coachella, California, on Friday night. Beatle Paul McCartney, 74, was in the audience during the Stones’ tribute, and was said to be “very moved” by go on stage, no booze is allowed. Some musicians prefer to have a drink before a gig as it helps them loosen up but Robbie’s band are professionals so they respect his decision.” This week Rob admitted that despite being clean, he still fights the urge to take substances. He said: “I don’t want to drink. I don’t want to take coke, but I do think about ecstasy.” It’s also emerged his new single has ruffled feathers in Russia – with Russian media reports claiming he will never perform in the country again after causing offence. the number, telling friends: “I had no idea he was going to do that.”

Jagger, 73, told the crowd: “We are going to cover a big group’s tunes. Are you ready?”

A source told the Mirror: “A lot has been made of their rivalry. It would have been utterly unthinkable back in the day, but this shows that they have both moved on.”
