CRACK open the Bolly, sweetie darling, and head to Harvey Nicks – Absolutely Fabulous is back.

Air kisses all round as Patsy and Eddy return in their own Hollywood film on Friday, 24 years after first appearing on our small screens.

Britain’s favourite women behaving badly are on top form in Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie.

Fashionista Patsy and neurotic PR boss Edina, played by Joanna Lumley and Jennifer Saunders, flee to the South of France fearing Eddy has sent model Kate Moss to her death on a drunken night out.

Going on the run for Eddy and Patsy also means plenty of cocktails, handsome men, a bizarre wedding – with Patsy as the groom – and a boat trip which has all kinds of comic possibilities. There are run-ins with chat show host Graham Norton and models such as Lily Cole, Alexa Chung, Suki Waterhouse, Daisy Lowe, Jourdan Dunn and Lara Stone.

Eddy, queen of outlandlish designer fashion, has a hilarious red carpet confrontation with a catty Stella McCartney who asks: “You’re not wearing my clothes, are you?”

And Patsy gets tasered by a flight attendant, played by Aussie actress of the moment Rebel Wilson.

Zapped Pats is unfazed by the shock and says: “Cheers, you don’t get that on British Airways”.

Rebel, 36, wrote to Saunders for a part and is just one of many famous faces in the comedy caper. Apart from Kate there are 60 guests, including the likes of Jerry Hall, Joan Collins and Mad Men’s Jon Hamm. There’s extra pressure on Eddy as she has become a grandmother. Sensible daughter Saffy, played by Julia Sawalha, has a daughter who is apparently “a stroppy teen from her relationship with
