The Britain’s Got Talent star admits she grabs her friend’s bum from time to time.
Speaking ahead of last night’s show launch, Amanda, 46, said: “I pinch Alesha’s bottom, I can’t resist. We’re just girly and flirty and complimentary.
“When we’re watching the show I’ll go, ‘Your skin looks great there’ and she’ll say, ‘Your lipstick’s nice in that shot.’
“We’re looking at it from completely different angles, thinking thank God for the lighting. We just have fun. And we put our slippers on and our dressing gowns on.” Alesha, 38, added: “We’ve got each other’s backs.” Amanda told how she loves dressing up for the show.
She said: “I don’t feel a pressure to look good from other people, it’s more my own personal dignity and pride in how I look. I love wearing a frock, for me that’s one of the best things about BGT, as shallow as that sounds.” But Amanda revealed co-stars David Walliams, 45, and 57-year-old Simon Cowell are not impressed with their banter. She joked: “They’re not into women, are they?”
BGT fans may well agree after watching Walliams ogling dancing policeman Dan Graham last night. After being passed the former Brit School student’s hat, he told him “It’s wonderful to see you dance in the uniform. Don’t be afraid to take it off.”
The comedian has already admitted he could have a relationship with a man after the breakdown of his marriage to model Lara Stone.
He said: “I wouldn’t totally rule it out. I had gay experiences growing up, which I enjoyed.
“I was a teen and in a lot of all-male environments.” I am naturally very camp. When I was at school I used to play Wonder Woman in the playground.”
Walliams told the May issue of Attitude magazine he is “not one of those men who says he can’t tell if David Beckham is attractive”. He added: “Of course you know he’s handsome, because you can’t miss it.
“But I don’t feel a sexual attraction towards him. I’m attracted to women.
“Sometimes I think it would be simpler if I wasn’t because people think I’m gay and I’m
camp. It would just be quite easy but I do find women really, really attractive.”
Walliams has been linked to a string of women since his divorce from Lara, the mother of his three-year-old son Alfred, two years ago, including Made In Chelsea’s Ashley James, actress Kate Beckinsale, model Emily Agnes and former Miss Norway contender Syliva Flote, 24.
Walliams praised Britain’s Got Talent’s lesbian, bisexual, gay and transgender acts.
He said: “I’m glad we have a lot of LGBT acts.
“Amanda, in particular, is very gay-friendly. She likes camp stuff. I love it.”
