The Pokemon pub

-

Landlord Ed Gri f f iths renamed the Panton Arms the Pokemon Arms after it was flooded with the game’s fans hunting characters in Pentraeth, Anglesey. He might have lost chief strategist Paul Manafort – who resigned after being linked to some dubious payments from Putinfriendly Ukrainians – but Donald Trump is clearly getting his crew together.

You can’t see a gang like this, like campaign manager Kellyanne Conway, going quietly. There is no way a bully like Trump could ever say: “I lost fair and square.”

So they’re laying the groundwork for losing: the election is rigged, voter fraud rampant etc. Trump’s calling for his fans to “monitor” voter stations in swing states.

Let’s say the current polling is all correct and Trump loses massively.

On election night you’ll have loads of angry Trump thugs loitering around polling stations. You’ll have Trump decrying the result as a fix and ( just about literally) urging them to smash the place up.

Can we see America in flames on election night? Riot police and National Guard type stuff?

You could see Obama in the difficult position of having to have Trump arrested for incitement to riot as the clown declares the result illegitimate.

Maybe I’m being melodramatic. It’s just that Trump’s riding a wave of madness.

Some waves just ebb away gently. But others crash on to the shore.

This one feels a lot more crashy than ebby.
