Strath band The Return hit the road for ‘Feldy gig

-

Local band The Return are back on the road this weekend ... writes Johnathon Menzies.

Saturday will see the Strath rockers head to Aberfeldy to play a free gig at the Fountain Bar from around 9pm.

It’s the first time the high-octane group has played at the venue situated in the Highland Perthshire town’s main square, and comes during a multi-venue tour organised by the band and Shed Promotions.

Band member Justin Ross said: “We will be pulling out all the stops to make it a great night – as we always try to do at our gigs.”

Another date on the upcoming calendar is, appropriately, a ‘return’ to Glasgow’s Clutha Bar on December 9.

Justin added the booking came off the back of a successful gig there last year. He said: “We are really happy to be asked back and are planning to rock people into the Christmas spirit.”

Looking ahead into the new year, Justin continued: “We are planning a local gig in the great Strathearn Artspace in early 2018.

“We are really looking forward to it – it’s a great local venue in front of a home crowd and we’d like to thank the Artspace for their continued support.

“We are already taking bookings for 2018, which is great, and we are looking to get more places and venues added so people can enjoy a night of live music and have fun.

“That’s what it is for us, fun, when you’re in a room with like-minded people who are either singing along or dancing to the songs you’re playing.”
