Have your say over town plan
RESIDENTS are being invited to attend meetings regarding the plans for development in Stockport under the Greater Manchester Spatial Framework.
The controversial plan seeks to build 19,000 homes in the next two decades across the borough, as well as bring jobs and new infrastructure such as transport links, schools and health provisions to Stockport.
People will have the opportunity to engage with council staff during open forum sessions at the following area committee meetings;
Werneth: Monday, December 12 at 5.30pm at Woodley Civic Hall
Heatons and Reddish: Monday, December 12 at 5.30pm at Stockport Town Hall
Cheadle: Tuesday, December 13 at 5.30pm at The Kingsway School in Gatley
Stepping Hill: Tuesday, December 13 at 5.30pm at Stockport Town Hall
Marple: Wednesday, December 14 at 5.30pm at Marple Senior Citizen’s Hall
Central Stockport: Thursday, December 15 at 5.30pm at Stockport Town Hall
Bramhall and Cheadle Hulme South: Thursday, December 15 at 6pm, venue to be confirmed, visit the council website at stockport .gov.uk/ commitees for details.
There will also be a drop-in event at Merseyway on Wednesday, December 7 between 10am and 6.30pm, and people can also take part in the consultation online at greatermanchester-ca.giv. uk/gmsf.
