Ladies spring into fashion for charity

-

A LADIES night and fashion show has raised more than £ 1,000 for St Ann’s Hospice.

‘Spring into Fashion’ was held at the Village Hotel in Cheadle and hosted by Key 103 radio presenter Chelsea Norris.

The event attracted 100 ladies and girls of all ages, from seven year olds attending with their mums up to more mature fashion lovers in their sixties and seventies.

Canapes and glasses of Prosecco were served on arrival at the event, which showcased affordable fashions from ladies’ retailer Fizz.

After the fashion show there was the opportunity to browse stalls selling homeware, jewellery and accessories.

Other stalls offered pampering services – including eyebrows, hair, makeup, skin care treatment and fat loss advice.

There was also music from The Midnight Cats.

Chelsea, who has been a patron of St Ann’s Hospice for around ten years, said: “It was crazy, it started at 7pm but people were arriving at 6.20pm desperate to get started.

“They were all dressed up and came ready for a very good evening

“It was a really busy couple of hours and the women really, really enjoyed it.

“It was a chance for us to get together and do the things we really like, such as drinking wine, looking at fashion and shopping.”

St Ann’s needs to raise £ 16,000 a day and chief executive Jayne Bessant spoke at the show to thank everyone for coming out to support the event.
