For older adults, Mondays in the Forth Inn 12.15-1pm, followed by 10-minute walk.

SCOTTISH COUNTRY DANCE

Classes are held on Wednesdays in the Memorial Hall from 7.30pm until 9.30pm. For more details telephone Allan at 01877 385236. Fun and gentle exercise. All welcome.

ST MARY’S CONCERT

The next concert at St Mary’s is on Sunday, October 20 at 3pm and features The Atholl Duo - Lee Holland (flute) and Glynn Forrest (percussion/marimba). The duo are successful performers in their own right and passionate about promoting and playing chamber music. Lee performs and works with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, Scottish Chamber Orchestra and Orchestra of Scottish Opera and Glynn has enjoyed involvemen­t in projects with Glasgow New Music Expedition, Rednote Ensemble, the Pavel Haas Quartet, and Auricle ensemble. Entry by retiring collection.

PARISH CHURCH

The service on Sunday will be at the usual time of 11.15am with worship being conducted by Rev Dr Valerie Allen. On Tuesday, October 29, there will be a lunch at the Forth Inn for the senior residents of Strathard Community. Invitation leaflets will be distribute­d shortly but if you think you are eligible contact Janet or Morna. The primary school’s P7 pupils will join the fun to celebrate Halloween. 15 at 6pm in the church rooms. Lunch Club is on Thursdays from noon. Wednesday Club meeting is on October 16 at 2.30pm in the McLintock Hall when the community police will give a talk.

Bingo is back to its original venue at the bowling club every Friday from 8pm.

MACMILLAN COFFEE MORNING

Thank you to all who supported this event in the village. More than £350 was raised.

CHRISTMAS FAYRE

West Stirlingsh­ire Friends of Strathcarr­on Hospice are holding their annual Christmas Fayre on Saturday, November 9 from 10am-2.30pm in the McLintock Hall. All welcome to support this worthwhile cause and enjoy stalls, raffle, tombola. Tea/coffee are included in the adult £3 admission.
