Venues delighted to host artists

-

Creative in Callander and Atelier Braco are among the artistic venues taking part in this year’s Perthshire Open Studios.

The festival offers the chance to enjoy the work of 140 artists and makers in studios across the region.

The nine-day event, running from September 1-9, is an opportunity to meet and chat to painters, potters, woodworkers, jewellery makers and a multitude of other creative people in everything from cottages and converted barns to galleries and tearooms.

The brochure and website provide full details of all those taking part in the 11th annual event (see the directory at www. perthshireopenstudios.com/artistsdirectory/) and also suggests seven colour coded routes to help visitors explore.

Event co-founder Luisa Ramazzotti said:“We hope that the brochure with its coloured routes, studio locations and artist directory, together with lists of cafes and restaurants, helps visitors to have a wonderful time discovering the art and the inspiring landscapes.”

The Perthshire Open Studios brochure is now available from visitor centres, libraries, arts venues, cafes and the artists themselves.

There will also be two showcase exhibitions at The Bield, Tibbermore from August 25 to September 9 and at Pitlochry Festival Theatre from September 1-28 in addition to the main open studios.
