Councillor Alastair Majury will be in Dunblane Library on Saturday, August 4 at 10am. Tea dance The dancing is back at the Victoria Hall after the summer break on Friday, August 3. St Blane’s Church On Sunday, the morning service and summer Sunday dchool will be at 10am. Creche available, tea and coffee served in the hall afterwards. Dunblane Cathedral Midweek service will be held tomorrow (Thursday) at the usual time of 11am in the choir area of the cathedral. On Saturday, August 4 the Music at Midday series of concerts continues with a recital by Joseph Beech, assistant organist at St Mary’s Cathedral, Edinburgh. The programme will include works by Couperin, de Grigny, Mozart, Schumann and JS Bach. Admission is free with a retiring collection. Following the concert, there is the opportunit­y to have a light soup lunch in the hall, again by donation. All proceeds go to Strathcarr­on Hospice. Sunday early morning family service begins at 9.15am lasting 30 minutes and morning worship is at 10.30am. All welcome. Each day Monday to Friday from Monday, August 6, there is the chance to learn how to ring the tower bells between 10am and 4pm with the aim of participat­ing in Ringing in Peace - Armistice 100 in November.
