Furious woman made threat to ‘skin’ teacher
A woman who threatened to “skin” a primary school teacher appeared at Stirling Sheriff Court on Wednesday.
Nadine Smith, 32, pictured right, admitted behaving in a threatening and abusive manner on June 13 last year by shouting, swearing, uttering threatening remarks and conducting herself in an aggressive manner at Fallin Primary School.
Fiscal depute Ann Orr told the court that Smith, formerly of Polmaise Crescent, arrived at the school at 3.20pm with two children and approached reception, asking “Are they in?” It was assumed she meant the headteacher and deputy head.
The headteacher had attended a children’s hearing earlier that day involving an issue with a member of Smith’s family.
Ms Orr said: “She started to make comments to an admin worker that she wanted to speak about the rubbish that had been said at the meeting.
“Then she said ‘Nae f***ing doubt, that fat one kens I’m after her. I’ll skin her’.
“She was asked repeatedly to calm down. Another member of staff saw the accused shouting in an aggressive manner. She left soon after, and police were contacted.”
Smith’s solicitor Stephen Maguire said she felt like she was being fobbed off by school staff, but accepted her behaviour was inappropriate.
Sheriff Kevin Veal said: “She’s got to demonstrate she won’t behave in this way in the future. I will defer sentence for her to be of good behaviour.”
He ordered her to return to court on November 25, and asked for supplementary criminal justice social work reports.
