Light a light for your loved ones

-

QUEENSCOURT Hospice’s Virtual Lights of Love Tree is set to shine brightly this festive season with dedications to loved ones.

It is a lovely way for families, friends and the community to come together to remember their nearest and dearest, by leaving a special message and adding a picture if they wish.

The trees outside the hospice will also be illuminated with hundreds of lights throughout December to represent dedications made to friends and family you wish to remember.

Mandy Lawrenson, a regular supporter of Queenscourt, has dedicated a light in memory of her husband Paul.

She said: “Every time I look up at the brightest star in the sky I think of my amazing husband and soulmate Paul, watching over me, Becca, Craig and Sarah. The Lights of Love remind me of that star and Paul’s love for Christmas with our families.”

Andrea Parkes, individual giving and legacy fundraiser at Queenscourt, added: “The Queenscourt Lights of Love virtual tree is a lovely way for people in our community to honour their loved ones and keep their memory alive.

“It brings me comfort to see my Nan has a light on the virtual tree and it makes me smile to see her picture on there.

“If anyone is thinking of making a dedication, please do. We hope that our virtual tree will shine brightly this Christmas with all of your wonderful dedications.”
