Platinum Jubilee road closures

-

A LIST of Southport and Formby roads due to be temporarily closed so Platinum Jubilee street parties can take place has been published by Sefton Council.

The street parties will take place on dates between Thursday, June 2, and Sunday, June 5, to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II’s 70 years on the throne.

A Sefton Council spokesperson said: “Organisers are planning street parties on any one of the days over the weekend.

“The street parties are also taking part at various times of the days in question between 9am and 11pm.

“It is therefore suggested that the legal order containing the streets should extend for all the full four days from 2nd June until 5th June between the hours of 09.00 hours until 23.00 hours.’

“All organisers have been notified of their responsibilities as organisers of an event, these responsibilities vary from temporary signage to cleansing to securing emergency service and residential vehicular access.”
