For mums from pregnancy to early tots, big event offers advice and workshop

A BIG Bump and Beyond Event is taking place between 11am and 2pm on Friday, August 22 at the Crib on Eastbank Street, Southport.

A spokesman said: “We have held a couple of events already at different venues which have proven to be very popular.

‘‘It is a family fun day especially for kids, parents and mums-to-be with information and advice, free mini treatments and workshops.”

Babyfitandme.co.uk will provide Mummy MOT sessions, Soleful Holistics will offer treatments, West Lancs Cloth Nappy Library will offer advice, Happy Baby Yoga will provide baby massage and baby yoga demos, Puddle Ducks will run a duck hunt, and Diana Celine Photography will offer a free mini-shoot with digital image.

There will be other fun and games for kids and it’s all free!

Gail Maher from The Crib opened her doors to the public a two months ago and is promoting it as a hub for parents to socialise, share stories and feel supported.

It provides post and ante-natal classes, activities and support groups on Saturdays and out of office hours.

Gail said: “We want mums to feel they are welcome here from pregnancy right through to their little ones’ childhood.”

It is open invitation for the Big Bump and Beyond event but if you register in advance you will receive a bag full of goodies .
