PHOTOGRAPHER Kevin Brown prides himself on his passion and eye for a good photograph, but you may also find him at the controls of an aircraft...

I caught up with the Southport photographer this week to find out a little more about the man behind the camera. What got you photography?

Photography has always been very important to me. During the last 20 years my love of photography has developed into a full-time career and the feedback I have received has made it all worthwhile. I lived abroad for eight years and always had a camera with me. What’s the best part of your job?

Meeting different people every week in different parts of the UK and then being a big part of their day. Describe Saturday.

Early walk on the beach with my golden lab, Drift, and as a special treat fly the aircraft I have a share in at Woodvale up to a grass airstrip on the Isle of Gigha in Scotland, which is only an hour and 45 mins away. Walk down to

perfect the local inn, nice lunch and still be back in Southport for an evening with friends. What are your plans for the next 12 months?

I still have quite a few weddings in the South East so ideally I would like to be shooting more weddings in the North West. What’s the hardest thing you’ve ever done?

Getting my pilot’s licence 15 years ago. Favourite colour?

Blue. Which football team do you support?

Accrington Stanley.
