MICHAEL MCINTYRE’S BIG SHOW Tonight, BBC1, 8.10pm

THIS show started as a Christmas one-off in 2015, but proved such a hit with the masses that a series was commissioned and since 2016 has been a BBC1 winter staple.

Once more Michael McIntyre will be lending a hand with the laughs in a series recorded at the London Palladium. The first edition features a musical performance by Liam Payne. Plus, survival expert Bear Grylls hands his phone over to the host for Send To All.

OUR GUY IN JAPAN Tomorrow, Channel 4, 9pm

GUY MARTIN’S latest adventure takes him on a 2,500-mile journey around Japan to find out

how the country works.

He meets an 85-year-old engineering grand-master, who made parts for Japan’s first nuclear power stations. He also finds out how Japan deals with 1,500 earthquakes annually via the intense simulators at Tokyo’s Disaster Training School.

Guy messes around with some uniquely modified trucks, and decides to get his own ‘tebori’ tattoo. Using sharp bamboo sticks, these hand-carved, painful works of art are a taboo in Japan because of their association with organised crime.

THE MARTIN LEWIS MONEY SHOW Monday, ITV, 8pm

However, Martin isn’t just talking about cutting festive bills. He begins with up-to-theminute information on the impending deadline for the Help to Buy ISA scheme.

And he’s back at the same time on the following night with a special live edition.
