STARS ROCKING THE BOAT

Get on board with a floating festival of pop and theatre

-

Experience a festival while cruising in five-star surroundings

CALLING all theatre and Eighties music lovers: imagine the thrill of a luxury cruise combined with a music festival or a West End theatre. This is the Floating Festivals concept on board Royal Caribbean’s Explorer of the Seas, where you get to experience a festival while cruising in five-star surroundings.

First is a three-day round-trip cruise from Southampton (October 11-14), with a day stop in Le Havre, and a full-on Throwback experience, with headline acts from Eighties legendary pop stars Tony Hadley, Sister Sledge and UB40.

And who can forget Eurovision ‘Making Your Mind Up’ sensations Bucks Fizz? Now they have made a comeback as The Fizz, and will be performing alongside acts such as Brother Beyond frontman Nathan Moore and Eighties DJ Pat Sharp.

However, if it’s the sights and sounds of Broadway that you seek, Stages (October 14-18) brings all the glitz and glamour of the West End to a round-trip four-night cruise, to include a day’s stop in Ireland’s buzzing capital city, Dublin.

Stealing the limelight will be classical legend Alfie Boe, actress Sheridan Smith and musical theatre group Collabro, as

well as a world-exclusive show from Tony Award-winning musical Avenue Q. And, for more nostalgia, the composers and writers of The Secret Diary Of Adrian Mole – The Musical will be giving a behind-the-scenes insight into the production.

Floating Festivals promises to provide some unique experiences, and, alongside the heady line-ups, there will be themed movies, singalongs, pop-ups from West End stars, as well as Q&As aplenty. What’s not to love? Visit floatingfestivals.co.uk for more information, or call 0344 417 0320.
