ALEX GIBNEY’S remarkable documentary starts coolly, but builds to an icy chill as evidence emerges of a controlling, paranoid institution. Hearing from former members, including film-maker Paul Haggis, as well as exploring the involvement of Tom Cruise, the film depicts an organisation that views the world in black or white: You are either for it, or against it.
SERIES FINALE Last Man On Earth, 9pm, Dave
IN THE final episode of season one of this kooky postapocalyptic comedy, some of the cul-desac residents aren’t playing nice. So, now that Will Forte’s Phil is no longer the only male, who is the last man? New Phil certainly thinks he’s more of a man than original Phil (now called Tandy), while Carol (Kristen Schaal, pictured) seems to agree. Series two starts next week.
ZOMBIE DRAMA Fear The Walking Dead, 9pm, AMC
THE series set in a world on the cusp of the full-blown zombie apocalypse seen in The Walking Dead continues, with moral questions arising as the authorities struggle to cope. Season six of its parent series starts on Fox in October. (Sky 192, BT TV 332).
