APPEAL IN NEED OF HELP

- Tony Miller Secretary and founder of the Sgt Thomas Mottershead statue appeal Founder of the Todger Jones statue appeal

THE Sgt Thomas Mottershead statue appeal would like to thank Martin McCoy from Open Spaces HBC for applying for a grant from WREN.

He was successful in our bid and the appeal was awarded £46,200.

We must stress this only covers part of the costs for the appeal, we still need another £20,000 by August this year.

The statue must be at no cost to the rate payers of Halton, which means the appeal relies on fundraising and donations.

The WREN grant was the only grant the appeal was successful at being awarded money.

We would like to thank 310 Squadron (Widnes) Air Cadets, Richard Bamber and Anthony’s Travel, Richard Munson from Widnes Vikings, Jayne Metcalffe from Asda for all their hard work in backing the appeal.

But a special thank you goes to everyone that has donated to the appeal. With everyone’s help, we can do it. It is hoped the statue will be unveiled on the April 1, 2018. The centenary of the formation of the RAF.

LETS MAKE HALTON PROUD OF IT’S HEROES, TOGETHER WE CAN DO IT.

You can donate through our web site www.mottersheadstatueappeal. co.uk, PayPal, https://www.justgiving. com/ crowdfunding/ tony- miller http://goget.fund/2asYksK or by sending a cheque (NOT CASH) made out to the Sgt Thomas Mottershead statue appeal.
