MR Steven Michael Dew, of Picton, New Zealand died on October 27 after a short illness, aged 52.

He worked at Rossendale Combining Company before emigrating to New Zealand in 2005 where he set up his own handyman business.

Steven was a keen photograph­er and enjoyed kayaking.

He carried a donor card and his organs have gone on to help other people.

He leaves his wife Christine, son Sam, mum Margaret and dad Melvyn and sister Sharon.

A private cremation in New Zealand will take place on Friday, November 4.

No family flowers please but donations to RNLI via the family.

ZENA COAD

ZENA Elizabeth Coad died on Thursday, Octo- ber 27, aged 83.

Zena was born in London and her family was evacuated to Rossendale in the Second World War where they made their home.

She worked at Lambert Howarth as a ‘socker’ until she retired.

She enjoyed knitting, gardening and spending time in her garden, loved watching the birds and was a member of the RSPB.

Zena and Ken had a touring caravan and loved going on holidays all around England and Scotland.

And then in later years they enjoyed holidays at their static caravan in Morecambe.

She leaves husband Ken, brother-in-law Norman, sister-in-law Betty and nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held on Monday, November 7 with prayers at the Chapel of Rest at 1.40pm, followed by a service at Burnley Crematoriu­m at 2.20pm.

Family flowers only please.
