A comedy circus show for whole family

-

THERE is an opportunity at Middleton Arena to see Chores – the funniest family show at the Edinburgh Fringe.

All the way from Australia, Chores tells the story of two brothers who don’t want to do their chores and tidy their room.

In this award-winning comedy circus show, highly-trained clowns perform death-defying stunts the whole family will love!

A storyline we can all relate to, with acrobatics, juggling, major flips, acrobalance and cheeky humour.

Chores is suitable for the whole family, with silly jokes, a toilet paper gun and plenty to amuse the teens and adults in the

audience, too.

Chores won the Adelaide Fringe Award for Best Children’s Show.

What starts off as a “chore” quickly becomes the amusing tale of two brothers attempting to tidy their room with very little success.

They quickly become side-tracked from their onerous task and the story follows them as they launch into finding ‘toys’ to play with and to fight over, toys to juggle, throw, catch or fall over.

Parents will nod knowingly and kids will love the flying toilet paper scene and watching Julian and Derek play tricks on each other.

There are lots of silly scenes which will be appreciated by younger audience members, however there are still lots of funny scenarios for older kids and adults, too.

Performers Julian and Derek are highly engaging and have audience members laughing throughout most of the show. They do a great job of combining slapstick comedy, acrobatics and juggling which is all well-choreographed.

There are some great acrobatic tricks, including small and giant rings, impressive juggling acts and some unicycle riding, all achieved on a small stage.

Julian Roberts and Derek Llewellin love performing this show and are very excited to share it with European audiences.

These two talented theatre clowns redefine slapstick humour and showcase teamwork, trust and cooperation.

Julian is a natural on the stage, having started training as an acrobat and a clown since he was just 14!

Derek loves combining his two favourite skills; big, exciting acrobatics and hilarious comedy.

There is little-spoken language, so younger children will follow along easily.

Find it hard to get your kids to do their chores? After seeing this show, they’ll be super excited to get stuck in!

Chores will be showing on July 24, from 2pm to 2.45pm at Middleton Arena, LCpl Joel Halliwell VC Way, Middleton. Adults £10, children £8, family ticket £32.Phone 0300 303 8633 or email heywoodcivic@link4life. org for more information.
