NORMAN WARWICK AND STEVE COOKE

-

OUR jazz correspondents at All Across the Arts, having just enjoyed Manchester Jazz Festival and a summer full of music at the fortnightly Jazz on a Sunday events in Castleton, will no doubt soon be telling anyone who cares to listen about the line up for the Lancaster Jazz Festival.

This will take place from September 18 to 20. Call 01524 598500 or book online at www.dukeslancaster.org.

ALL Across the Arts members bumped into Jim Riley and Noreen White of Skylight Circus at Littleborough Arts Festival.

This reminded us to remind readers that Noreen has work displayed in a visual arts exhibition at Hollingworth Lake Visitor Centre.

Her pieces feature alongside works of her colleagues, Catherine Clarke and Louise Day.

The exhibition opened on September 2 and will run until September 27. It is open every day from 10.30am to 3pm, except Thursdays.

EVENTS are constantly being pencilled in to the All Across the Arts add-on fringe event (of Rochdale Literature and Ideas Festival 2015).

A talk by Anthony Costello about the symbolism and use of colour in The Great Gatsby is in the works.

This would be of interest to all aspiring writers and all those who love the work of F Scott Fitzgerald. We will announce full details shortly.
