The itinerary for Practical

Classics’ tour of Britain’s top ten car clubs has been revealed. Between June 24 and July 5, the team will visit the ten clubs you voted for and, with our pals from Footman James, judge which is the best.

The Pembrokeshire Classic Car Club is the first stop, on Monday June 24. The epic road trip will officially commence the following morning, on what was voted the best-loved road in the UK – the A4069 Black Mountain Road – after which the team will end up at the South Wales Classic Car Club.

On Wednesday June 26 the gang will travel to the Torbay Old Wheels Club, via Exmoor and Dartmoor, then eastwards next morning to Locks Heath Classic Car Club in Hampshire, ending the first week on Friday, June 28 with the Storrington and District Classic & Sportscar Enthusiasts.

The second week commences on Monday July 1 in Merseyside, and the team will meet members of the Scotch Piper Classics group. Next morning, the route will take them around the Forest of Bowland, ending up for a meet with the North West Casual Classics group in Warrington.

Wednesday July 3 sees the gang leaving Ironbridge, bound for the Silverstone Social Classic Car Club. There’s a visit to the East Coast Retros near Ipswich on Thursday July 4, while the tour finishes the day after in

Hitchin, with members of the H-town Classic & Dub Club.

Feel free to come and join us at any of the road runs or evening meets – the more the merrier. We’ll aim to photograph every classic car that comes out to play!
