Perth Road Runners illustrate­d what a diverse range of events they partake in this week - and with some terrific success.

Club members took to the track for the Masters Indoor Championsh­ips at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow, picking up a number of medals.

Ronnie Glen claimed M50 silver at 800m, Grant Wooler M60 bronze in 800m, Paul Hammersly bronze in M55 1500m and Duncan Ryan secured silver in M50 1500m and a bronze in the M50 800m.

Elsewhere, at the Forfar Multi-Terrain Half-Marathon, Stuart Robertson, Jimmy Fotheringh­am and Kevin Riddell were the second male team overall.

Also running for the club were Richard Hughes, Gillian Edwards, Lou Ella Cole, Crawford Watson and Margaret McIntosh, the latter second in the V60 category.

Eddie Torrie and Robin Livingston­e competed in the Falkirk 8 Hour Trail Ultra at Callendar Park.

The challenge involved participan­ts completing a circuit as many times as possible within the eight hours.

Eddie finished fifth overall and first MV50, completing a staggering 53.7 miles and Robin managed 34.2 miles in just over six hours.

Kevin Rogers and Stewart Reid ran in tough conditions of mud and snow on Sunday at the Strathearn Trail Half Marathon. Kevin finished eighth in one hour 58 minutes, while Stewart was fourth in one hour 55 minutes.

To parkrun, the top three Perth finishers for the road runners were Garry Smith, Kevin Rogers and Martin McEwen.

And, for the ladies, it was Gillian Edwards, Rosie Aitken and Lou Ella Cole.

At Plean parkrun, the green vests were represente­d by Sue Jones, Kate Cowan and Jane Dernie.

At Camperdown were Stuart Robertson and Alan and Sue Bothwell while, at Fairview, Stephanie Reid was in action. Taking part in Moana parkrun, Australia was Hugh Daly and completing the tourism at Meadowmill was Gillian Smith.
