Two new faces on NHS Tayside health board
Two men have been appointed as members of the NHS Tayside board.
Peter Drury and Ronnie Erskine are both set to join the board, which oversees the governance and leadership of the health board.
They were appointed by Jeane Freeman MSP and will stay in their roles until January 2024.
Mr Drury is a chartered accountant who moved to Scotland in 1992.
He has worked with Ernest and Young and the RELX Group, where he helped set up an office in India to support its UK legal publishing business.
An NHS Tayside spokesperson said: “Peter’s experience includes detailed financial analysis and reporting, developing strategic visions, then ‘making things happen’, all for a variety of stakeholders.
“In addition to his professional work, Peter has held a range of outside appointments including serving on a school board, chairing the owners’ committee of the Hilton Craigendarroch timeshare resort, chairing a charitable trust, and being a non-executive chair of an Aberdeen company.”
Mr Erskine is currently a board member at Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park and has chaired CIPFA in Scotland
The spokesperson added: “Ronnie Erskine brings a breadth of finance, change management, audit and risk management experience to this role from various public bodies over a 35-year period.
“His experience includes senior roles in finance and corporate functions in central government, local government and NDPBs with responsibility for up to 300 staff and oversight of budgets of up to £6 billion.”
