Blueprint for City Hall revamp is on show
Plans for Perth City Hall will be on display Members of the public will be able to see plans for the redevelopment of Perth City Hall at an exhibition this week.
The iconic city hall is set to be transformed into a new visual arts attraction in the heart of the city centre. Now, an exhibition illustrating the proposed redevelopment will be on display in the Civic Hall at 2 High Street on Thursday, May 17.
The event will be open from 11am until 7pm, and residents will be able to meet representatives from the applicant and design team and ask questions about the proposals put forward.
Feedback forms will also be available at the exhibition if any residents want to leave a comment. Written comments can also be submitted to Perth and Kinross Council after the exhibition, as long as they are received before the consultation period ends on Friday, May 25.
A PKC spokesperson said: “The transformation of Perth City Hall into a new visual arts attraction for the Fair City is a key element of plans to redevelop Perth into one of Europe’s best small cities, and the redevelopment proposals for the building will be on display next week at a public engagement session.
“It is intended that planning and listed building consent applications for the development will be submitted in summer 2018.
“As well as the public engagement session, there will also be a formal opportunity to make representations to Perth and Kinross Council as planning authority once a planning application has been submitted.”
