Brad’s special outing with popular star
Perthshire’s European Tour golfer Bradley Neil enjoyed an “incredible” final round in Spain with Andrew ‘Beef’ Johnston.
The Blairgowrie professional teed-up alongside the popular Englishman at the Open de Espana on Sunday.
Bradley was positioned nicely on 11-under-par after three rounds but a closing 77 dropped him to 58th in the leaderboard.
Despite the disappointment, the experience was another valuable one.
Bradley said: “Playing with Beef on the Sunday was incredible. To be in the same group as someone who’s getting a lot of attention was good to learn from.
“My thinking going into the last round was just to keep doing what I was doing.
“There was no need to change anything so that was my mindset. I had a total score in mind that I wanted to reach.
“It’s definitely getting there. Last week I got a good Saturday score in there. I’m constantly building experiences.”
Bradley started at the Trophée Hassan II in Morocco yesterday and was playing in a group with Andrew Dodt and John Kelly.
Before teeing-off, Bradley told the PA: “I analysed last week, looked at the stats, talked to my coach and have come into this week in Morocco with a clear plan on what to improve.
“From what I saw of the course today (Tuesday), old man par is a good score. It’s going to be a grind out there.”
