Jonhas squad firedup

-

Luncarty Juniors boss Jon Kelly insists his squad must be at their best to advance into round four of the East of Scotland Cup this weekend.

The Bleachers, who have been out of action for two weeks due to call-offs, hope to welcome East Premier League side Dalkeith Thistle to Brownlands Park.

Kelly said: “It was another frustrating Saturday for us last week with the game being cancelled yet again.

“To make matters worse we had a friendly arranged and that got called off at the last minute too.

“This will make for a very busy run in, but we will just need to get on with it as we still know what is needed.

“I am really hoping that we get the go ahead this Saturday as the lads are bursting to play.

“It’s a great game to look forward to as well. They are a league above us, so it will certainly be tough.

“The boys know we will need to be at our best to give ourselves a chance of advancing to the next stage of the competition.”

Key faces will be missing for the Bleachers, but their squad remains strong.

Kelly said: “We have a few faces missing. Gordon Chalmers is suspended, Richie Montgomery has a hamstring injury and Reg McLaren is carrying an ankle knock.

“We should still have a squad of 18 or 19 though.”

In the North Division, Kinnoull welcome league leaders Dundee North End to Tulloch Park. Coupar Angus are also on home soil and face Arbroath Vics.

Scone Thistle hit the road to play Brechin Vics, while Blairgowrie travel to Dundee to take on East Craigie.
