Jamie enjoying his recent goal streak

-

Jamie McGrath admits it was a sweet moment to strike home his third Saints goal in three games.

The Irishman was on the scoresheet against Aberdeen in both their recent meetings, including the late League Cup winner that sealed them a shot at Rangers in the quarter-finals tomorrow night.

And after continuing his hot streak with the decisive goal against Motherwell on Saturday, the 24-year-old revealed while he’s enjoying the limelight it’s the team’s unbeaten run that matters the most to him.

The former Dundalk star told Express Sport:“It was one of those chances which come at you quickly.

“Luckily enough, I reacted and got a good strike on it and it ended up in the back of the net.

“That’s three in three for me so long may it continue.

“All I’m bothered about is the result though, really.

“It was a great three points for us. Second half, we had our backs to the wall so we’re chuffed with the win, which keeps the unbeaten run going.”
