Can you help to find Nero?

-

A Paisley family is desperate to bring their beloved pooch home after he went missing at a dog walking event.

Colette Morrin, from Shortroods, and her family are devastated that their silver dappled miniature dachshund Nero is nowhere to be found.

The mum-of-two told the Express life at home just isn’t the same without him.

“We’re all really struggling without him,” Colette said.

“He has such a close bond with my 11-year-old daughter Latisha and she just wants him back.

“We also have another three miniature dachshunds who are all related.”

Nero was last seen on February 4, when he and his owners took part in a mass dog walk at Strathclyde Country Park in Motherwell.

The 13-week-old pup ran off in the dark while the event was still going.

Colette is becoming increasingly worried for his safety.

“He’s only a wee dog who doesn’t like being too close to other people,” she added.

“He’s been through a lot in his short life like major operations and bronchitis.”

After hearing of the tragic disappearance dozens of fellow dog lovers searched Strathclyde Park.

Using special cameras, groups have taken turns to look for Nero.

“The support has been great so far,” Colette added.

“If anyone thinks they’ve seen Nero I would ask that they don’t approach him.

“He’s so nervous that he might run away. “Please call me directly.” If you have any information on Nero or his whereabouts please call Colette on 07342912124.
