She’s a real inspiration

-

Pro-Life’s Gayle Brannigan hailed Fiona’s progess at the gym as “inspirational”, having seen her transformation first hand.

The Paisley gym will open its doors to everyone for Mental Health Week, and she revealed it is a cause close to the gym’s heart. Gayle has been there for Fiona every step of the way, and having seen her battles with depression, she hopes that the gym can help even more people in the same situation.

Gayle said:“We need to tell people that it is okay, to feel like this. Everyone goes through things.

“It is okay not to be okay. This is normal, unless you’ve had a fantasy fairytale life.

“Knowing what the signs are is important but, more importantly, when you see these signs in someone who hasn’t asked for help, you need to do something about it. “You can’t just let it go. “Fiona’s turnaround has been absolutely inspirational for us because she is someone who was really struggling but has managed to turn her life around.

“It is staggering how far she has came and we are really proud of everything she has achieved.”

One in four of us will experience a mental health problem each year, which could be at least two players in every football team.

It is reckoned that every year approximately 275,000 people in Scotland at least considered killing themselves.
