Residents have say on health services

-

WEST Lancashire Borough Council is inviting residents to give feedback on local health services.

Commissioned by West Lancashire NHS Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), Southport and Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust and Southport and Formby CCG, Shaping Care Together aims to shape, develop and improve future services for everyone, based on feedback from the patients, carers and staff who use and deliver those services.

The programme aims to make sure that health and care services are accessible, effective and operated by skilled staff to meet everyone’s needs.

You can have your say on what currently works well at Southport and Ormskirk hospitals as well as in primary and community healthcare services. You can also give your views on improvements you would like to see and where services should be based.

Councillor Vickie Cummins, Portfolio Holder for Health and Wellbeing, said: “It’s really important everyone has their say to ensure the provision of health and care services are best-placed locally to serve West Lancashire.

“We want everyone to be able to access services that allow them to live healthy and fulfilling lives now and in the future. Having the right services in the right places is crucial to achieving this so we need to hear about your experiences so we can make sure you get the support you need.”

This consultation programme will last throughout 2021 and there will be many opportunities for local people to have their say.
