PLAYER RATINGS

-

BRICE SAMBA:

Produced a brilliant save to keep out Tom Barkhuizen early in the second half – it proved vital, too. Made another good stop right at the death. Rating: 7/10

CYRUS CHRISTIE:

Lost count of the number of crosses the right-back put in. Made some fine runs in the first half especially. Just needed better final delivery at times. Rating: 6/10

TOBIAS FIGUEIREDO:

Made a crucial block just before the break and was generally pretty steady – even with a few hairy moments in the second half. Rating: 6/10

JOE WORRALL:

Has been such a key – and consistent – player since returning from injury. Solid at the back once again, overseeing an important clean sheet. Rating: 7/10

YURI RIBEIRO:

Much like Christie, crossing was not the best. Overall, just didn’t look particularly comfortable when the visitors applied a bit of pressure. Rating: 5/10

SAMBA SOW:

Picked up the customary first-half yellow card, which left him walking a tightrope. Helped shield the back line and limit Preston’s chances. Rating: 6/10

SAMMY AMEOBI:

Final contribution was to drive an effort narrowly over the bar. For the best part of an hour before that, however, had been very quiet. Rating: 5/10

RYAN YATES:

Got into some good areas, particularly in the first half when he really looked to push forward. Made sure Forest celebrated as a team when the penalty went in. Rating: 6/10

CAFU:

Won his side the penalty with an effort which was blocked. Hadn’t been too far away with another strike in the first half. Steady, without sparkling. Rating: 6/10

ANTHONY KNOCKAERT:

Missed a good chance early on when he fired over from close range. A few bright moments but still feel Forest haven’t seen the best of him as his loan deal comes to an end. Rating: 6/10

LEWIS GRABBAN:

The skipper had ice running through his veins when he stepped up to take the spot kick. A big, big goal, too. Rating: 7/10

SUBSTITUTES

JOE LOLLEY (FOR AMEOBI, 64):

Looked bright when he came on and made some good runs. Rating: 6/10

HARRY ARTER (FOR CAFU, 88): Helped to shore things up in the closing minutes to see out a crucial victory. Rating: 6/10

LYLE TAYLOR (FOR GRABBAN, 90+2): Picked up a cheap booking for kicking the ball away as Forest saw out added time. Rating: 6/10
